Symfony 1.0 was released today. This is a great web framework, and for me was very intuitive and easy to learn. It uses PHP5 and works with just about any database. Very cool.

Looking at the code samples, seems like you need to write 50% more code than you’d need with Rails to achieve the same thing.

That is a great number, 50%. I would love to see the statistical regressions you performed to come up with that.
