I was playing with ubuntu-kvm-builder, and used apt-cacher for the mirror, and the build time is right around 2:30 which is pretty impressive. Using recordmydesktop I made a quick video of it, wanted to test the embedded video:
If you can’t see the video directly above this, you are not running a web browser that supports embedded videos (or you are seeing this on a planet).

I’m on Kubuntu Jaunty (which in my case means Firefox 3.0; although Konqueror currently ignores the Video Tag as well). Here’s a direct link to the .Ogv file for others who want to see it:
http://www.sharms.org/videos/ubuntu-kvm.ogv
Also, on a side note, for some odd reason when I saved the file to my desktop and clicked on it (rather than just selecting “open with” in the dialog when I hit the direct link in FF) KDE decided that I wanted to watch it in …. Amarok? Since Amarok doesn’t do video (as far as I can tell) I’m not sure why it would be the default for a video file format?
Regardless it plays fine in VLC. Thank you for taking the time to post it : )

The demo would be much more interesting to watch if you passed –debug to vmbuilder. That way, you can see a lot more of what it’s doing.
