I recently purchased a Dell Mini, and at some point the battery stopped working. Dell Support was friendly, helpful and I got great services. If you want some Dell Mini pics:
I have had it for a month or two now, and I definitely like it. I am very excited to see the direction that the Moblin project is going in, as that is very cool technology.

I already installed half a dozen of them at work, and it’s really a nice little machine. Too bad Dell messed up the repositories with a version of Network Manager incompatible with the VPN plugins. Moblin just works fine on it, except it does not recognize the broadcom wireless card of course… Too bad. Otherwise it’s lightening fast.
And if you want to install NBR with ext4, it will boot even faster than the Dell version. And everything works out of the box, except the function key to activate the VGA port maybe. Or maybe another custom function.

@Francois – I tested it with Jaunty and it found the wireless, I bet it is just the firmware needs to be placed on Moblin and it will work

Yes of course, they didn’t include any proprietary firmware. Anyway, from what I understand, the current Moblin version is more a demo than anything else. We should soon see plenty of different flavors of it, like an ubuntu moblin.

I sent my Ubuntu Dell in for repair three times, and their part replacement algorithm is loosely based on pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey. I have the box for the fourth send-in, but I figure my chances are best if I just suffer with the problem I have than the new ones I’d end up with, so I just hung onto it.
