This device is a multifunction device providing:
- Printing
- Scanning
- Media Card Reading
Operating System
This was tested on Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex 8.10 AMD64 release with all updates installed.
Printing

Printing was recognized out of the box. After editing some gimp settings, was able to print photo quality prints to 4×6 borderless.
Scanning
Scanning did not work using current Sane drivers. This printer says it is supported in Linux using the Epkowa driver, and drivers are provided, but not working in Intrepid. Some people have it working in Hardy.
Media Card Reading
This worked out of the box, immediately prompted to open pictures.

I have a canon MP750, and it is detected by ubuntu, however I am unable to get reasonable photo prints.
I can print on 6×4 with margins, but the prints look dithered compared to the prints I do via windows.
I also can’t manage to get borderless printing working – what gimp settings did you change ? I tried ‘ignore pinter margins’ and set them all to 0.

To print without margins:
1. Go to File -> Paper Type and create a user set one of 4″x6″ with no margins
2. In the printer settings, adjust the image properties to 4″x6″ size and make sure the preview takes up the whole window it displays
3. In the printer driver tab select “Borderless” option box
After I did that, it worked great. I also changed the quality to ‘Photo’ in the driver box. Oddly enough I couldn’t get it to do it in Windows.

What GTK+ and Metacity themes do you use here?
Also, your spam defence doesn’t seem to work correctly. I cannot select the “Please add” field – after I click in it, the cursor jumps to the “Website” field (this is on Firefox 3.0.5 under Windows XP.) I can only enter text in the field by pressing the left mouse button and then holding it while I enter the characters.
