No, really. The other guys who have also posted has it right. I associated the logo in the center strongly with the words around it, and that is not a good thing.
I agree with the people above. Part of the reason for the association is the Ubuntu logo in the middle of the screen, surrounded by all the bad things. One way to slightly improve the design is to make the “Ubuntu” part very distinct from all that. For example, you could do the thing that many ads do: split the image into two halves, with all your bad stuff in the left half, and the Ubuntu logo in the right half.
I’m with the others, this is an excellent idea, but a quick glance without reading it properly just associates Ubuntu with Bad Things ™… Better to move the Ubuntu logo to the bottom black banner…

Honnestly, this is not a good idea because you are associating Ubuntu with all the badness.
My first impression is that Ubuntu is full of spywares, malware, rebooting, ….
My second impression too.
Frankly, don’t share this picture.

Seconding Ploum, this looks like all those bad words are features of Ubuntu. It’s a really terrible bit of marketing.

Ow. Does Ubuntu cause all that? Oh wait…

Please, please bury this thing.

moving the ubuntu logo under the “Forget the past…” sentence would be a better idea.

You could just set the Ubuntu logo apart visually from all the badness. I like the mood of the whole thing.

Perhaps having some flag flying attached to the wharf meant to parody the Windows logo would be more appropriate?

Alternative text at the bottom: “Tired of all this? Try Ubuntu instead.” And scratch the Ubuntu logo in the middle of badness.

So no painful upgrades with Ubuntu? That’s not what I remember
I don’t think this is a good idea. At the least it does seem a bit confusing.

+1 to the comments above. The poster is sending the wrong message visually.

So..after you take the path leading to Ubuntu , you fall in the lake and drown?
Well that can’t be good…
