please please do not ship binary graphics driver with edgy.. chances are good that ati releases gpl’d ones because of amd, when we use the binary ones in edgy they think that it is not neccessary.
and eye candy is not that important for me at least!
Some people dont like beryl, eyecandy and binary drivers. But some people like it and want it. In the past most of them have to install stuff like this by themselve. Now guys who dont like beryl etc. can uninstall binary drivers and beryl. Whats the problem. I cant hear that anymore.

Great! Could you do a banner for us to show Intel too? One that says “Why are you making the effort to release Free drivers at all? Are you idiots?”
I’m sure you’ve also read the GPL fully, and you agree that violating it wouldn’t be a good idea.
ps: Beryl? It’s a toy, compiz is a better default.
