Got edgy? Vmware won’t start? It’s because you have two versions of dbus installed. Run: bobvila@random:~# sudo apt-get remove libdbus-1-2
This will specifically help those who are having the libcairo / libpng error message when they start vmware.

From the looks of your prompt there, you wouldn’t actually need sudo. Not logging in as root are we? Naughty boy.

apt-get wants to additionaly remove the following packages:
> The following packages were automatically installed
> and are no longer required:
> gaim-libnotify libdbus-1-2 ubuntu-desktop gaim-dev
> gaim
How to prevent this?

This worked well. How did you find the dbus problem to be the solution? I don’t remember seeing it in the error.
